How to Get a LAYC Card• LAYC Memberships are offered to 7th and 8th graders who live in Los Altos or attend a Los Altos School (Blach, Egan, Los Altos Christian, Miramonte, Pinewood, St. Nicholas, St. Simon, and Waldorf School).
• LAYC Memberships will be sold on campus at Blach and Egan on certain days after the beginning of the school year. Check school hand-outs for specifics. • To purchase a membership, please download an 2012-2013 LAYC DANCE Membership Application Then, come to the Hillview Community Center with a completed application and your child (or email a current photo of your child to toskoui@losaltosca.gov prior to your office visit). • The Hillview Community is open from 8am-5pm Monday-Friday to accept LAYC Memberships Questions about LAYC Dances?Q: Who chaperones the dances?
LAYC Dances are chaperoned by college- age part-time Recreation Leaders, Los Altos Youth Commission assists with supervision, 3 parent chaperones and at least 1 full time staff member. On average, the participant to chaperone ration is 1:25. Q: I want to chaperone the LAYC Dances, how do I sign up... And I am a parent... Either fill out the date the LAYC Dance Membership Application or email toskoui@losaltosca.gov with the date that you would like to chaperone. And I am a high school student... Sorry, at this time we do not allow high school students to volunteer as chaperones for dances. For more details download the LAYC Dance Membership Packet. 2012-2013 LAYC Dance SeasonMemberships for the 2012-2013 school year are $79 for the remaining 9 dances provided. All dances are on Fridays from 7:30-10 PM and take place at the LAYC Building, 1 North San Antonio Road, Los Altos
