LAYT Staff

Artistic Director & Resident Costumer-Trish Files

Picture
Trish has costumed more than 50 shows for the Los Altos Youth Theatre. She also does costume design for other groups in the area including Bus Barn Stage Company and Dragon Theatre. Her background includes degrees in math, art history and library science.

Business Manager-Pati Bristow

Picture
Pati has been involved with theater performance and costuming for over 30 years. She is Resident Costumer for Festival Theatre Ensemble and has designed costumes for West Valley, Foothill & Canada Colleges, West Valley Light Opera, Theater Works and "Opera in the Schools".
Patti has credentials in Early Childhood & Elementary Education, and degrees in Journalism, Music & Chemistry.

Cindy Powell

Cindy got her start choreographing for children’s musicals when she was in high school, and hasn’t stopped since! Over the years she has directed, choreographed, and stage managed for several companies in the area. Recent credits include directing “Camp Shakespeare” and its performances for the Los Gatos Shakespeare Festival, as well as the Performing Arts Conservatory Camp with Theatre in the Mountains. In 2012 she directed Willy Wonka JR with Theatre in the Mountains, as well as a production of Alice with Los Altos Youth Theatre, where she’ll be returning in Spring 2013 for Little Mermaid JR.

ej Taylor

The former Assistant Director of the Palo Alto Children’s Theatre ej Taylor (nee’ Ndeto) previously directed The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe with LAYT in the Fall of 2008.  A long time educator in Theatre Arts, ej has also performed extensively with Peninsula theatre companies.  Favorite roles include Carla, et al in AS BEES IN HONEY DROWN with TheatreWorks, Ben et al in the West Coast Premiere of ANTON IN SHOW BUSINESS with San Jose Stage Co. Now, along with teaching and directing, ej finds her bliss writing and thinking big thoughts.
