Welcome to the City of Los Altos Municipal Volunteer Program (MVP)! Thank you for your interest in taking the first step in turning your talents and skills into positive action for your community. Youth Theater

LAYT (Los Altos Youth Theater) is seeking volunteers to assist with box office, concession stand and ushering positions. The schedule and times vary depending on individual shows. 

Senior Center

The Los Altos Senior Center is seeking a variety of volunteers to assist with day to day operations. Openings include front desk volunteer, PC tutor, luncheon server, monkey toy maker and assisting with special events.

Commissions and Committees
Today, citizens depend on city government more than ever before, which makes it more important than ever that qualified, dedicated people run to be a commissioner and/or committee member. Click here for a commission/committee application or for more information on commisions and committes please click here.

For a parental permission form click here and please print, have a parent or guardian sign it and bring it with you on your first day of volunteering.  


 

City Hall Special Projects

Engineering, Planning and City Clerk Departments all need periodic assistance with mailing, repairing old city maps, records management and other special projects. Both on call and regular schedule options are available. It's a great way to gain a better understanding of City Hall!

Recreation

Recreation sponsors city-wide special events like New Year's Day Fun Run, Egg Hunt, Summer Concerts, Summer Camps, Halloween Window Painting, Gingerbread Exhibit, and Santa Visits which all have prep and could benefit from extra hands. Fun ways to get involved and support you community.

Junior High Sports

Volunteers are needed to assist coaches with practices and games for junior high sports such as volleyball, soccer, basketball and baseball. Timing depends on season and sport.
